Gary Takes Gold

2006 Recipient Gary Griffiths has won the prestigious Gold Medal competition at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.  Trustee Mark Evans said ‘When we first heard Gary sing in 2006 we could see that this was a voice of exceptioanl beauty and certainly one of class. We were delighted to have been able to help him finacially in order for him to continue his studies, which is making him in to a fine singer and bringing him great success’. In winning the Gold Medal at the GSMD Gary follows in the footsteps of musicians like Jacueline du Pre and Bryn Terfel. Gwenllian Grabs BBC NOW Job

2008 Recipient Gwenllian Haf Richards has been appointed sub co-leader of the BBC National Orchestra of Wales. Trustee Wynne Evans said ‘On behalf of The Elizabeth Evans Trust we would like to congratulate Gwenllian on landing such a prestigious job at such a tender age. We are glad that we were able to able help her in our small way, and feel extremely proud’.Gwellian is the sister of 2007 Recipient Elin who was appointed to the RPO in 2008.


Gruffudd To Join The RSC

2006 recipient Gruffudd Glyn  has recently completed his studies at RADA and will now join the RSC  on a two and a half year contract. During his time in Stratford he will take part in Winters Tale and Julius Caesar. Trustee Mark Evans said ‘this is what we’re all about, we are delighted to have been able to help Gruff during his time at RADA and now he has had the best possible start we could have hoped for. This is just brilliant news!’ For more information please go to the RSC website www.rsc.org.uk
