Caroline Sheen

Caroline was born and raised in South Wales, she graduated with first class honours from Guildford School of Acting.
Caroline created the role of “Mary Poppins” for the Original International touring cast of Mary Poppins, produced by Cameron Mackintosh and Disney. Her most recent appearance was in the European Premiere of “The Light in the Piazza” at the Curve Theatre playing the role of Clara.
She made her West End debut as Marty in Grease at the Cambridge Theatre. She went on to play Florinda in Into The Woods at the Donmar Warehouse and then went into the original cast of Mamma Mia at the Prince Edward Theatre, covering the role of Sophie. She created the role of Jennifer Gabriel in the World Premiere production of The Witches of Eastwick at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane. Other West End credits include Eponine in Les Miserables at the Palace Theatre, Sandy in Grease at the Victoria Palace, and Truly Scrumptious in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at the London Palladium.
Work at the National Theatre includes Philia in A Funny Thing Happened on the way to the Forum and Susan Walker in Once in a Lifetime and she created the role of Carrie in Three Sides, a new musical by Grant Olding and Toby Davies, which played at The Finborough and went to the New York Musical Theatre Festival winning several awards. She returned to the Finborough to perform in Adam Guettel’s Myths and Hymns, after making her Pantomime debut as Alice Fitzwarren in the Barbican’s production of Dick Whittington.
TV work includes episodes of Hotel Babylon, Doctors and Torchwood all for the BBC and Elizabeth of York in Henry VIII Mind of a Tyrant.
Caroline was a guest soloist in the opening ceremony of the Wales Millenium Centre. Other solo concert work includes Night of a Thousand Voices at the Royal Albert Hall, Michael Ball and friends at the Royal Opera House, An Evening with Jason Robert Brown, and Georgia Stitt and Friends. Most recently she appeared alongside fellow “Mary Poppins” actresses Lisa O’Hare and Scarlett Strallen in “A Spoonful of Stiles and Drewe” singing a specially devised version of “Practically Perfect”
She can be heard on the original cast recordings of Mamma Mia and The Witches of Eastwick and on Rosie Ashe’s new album Serious Cabaret. She is also featured on the new cd “A Spoonful of Stiles and Drewe” which was released in December 2008.

Darren Ellis

DARREN ELLIS - Artistic Director of Darren Ellis Dance, Darren trained at Rambert Dance School (1987-90), at the Laban Centre, and Transitions Dance Company (1990-91). He has danced with David Massingham Dance, Janet Smith and Dancers, PAGE Dance Theatre (Freiburg, Germany), Mark Bruce Dance Company, Small Bones Dance Company, Jeremy James Dance Company, Matthew Bourne (SWAN LAKE original cast, CINDERELLA, NUTCRACKER! and PLAY WITHOUT WORDS), Random Dance Company, Snag Project (Jo Fong and Sarah Warsop), Richard Alston Dance Company and Unbroken (a dance theatre piece at the Gate theatre). Darren has been teaching at Rambert Dance School since 2003 and joined Richard Alston Dance Company as rehearsal director in August 2005 - 2008. Darren began choreographing in 2007 and has made two pieces, ROMEO ERROR (for Evolution at The Place) and TEMPT MY BETTER ANGEL (SPNM project for RADC); which are now performed by Ellis Dance Theatre. Furthermore Ellis Dance Theatre has produced a further two works titled GOOD TO GO (2007) and NO MORE GHOSTS (2008) which have been performed by the Richard Alston Dance Company. Following that Darren has also created a piece on the Centre for Advance Training at The Place for the EXCELLENT Gala which was staged at Sadler’s Wells. In 2008 Darren was apart of the international research program CHOREOROAM at The Place where he created a solo on himself, STICKS AND BONES. Recently Darren has been commissioned to create a piece for the students at the London Studio Centre, London. 

Eos Chater - Violinist

Eos Chater is a founder member and violinist in the multi-million selling classical crossover group, Bond, which has been officially declared the best-selling international string quartet in the history of the music industry. From Cardiff, Wales, Eos holds holds an Honours degree from the Royal College of Music and, before signing an exclusive recording contract with Decca/Universal, she performed in chamber groups dedicated to performing music by living composers. A seasoned producer and writer, particularly for music in television and TV advertising, Eos has written many string arrangements and played with groups including The Divine Comedy, Cocteau Twins, Oi Va Voi, Lamb and Julian Cope, Nitin Sawhney, Anoushka Shankar and Paul McCartney and has recorded for the films, Harry Potter and Stardust amongst others.

Naomi Harvey - Soprano

Naomi has performed many roles for Welsh National Opera in recent years, most recently Desdemona (Otello), Bertha (Barber of Seville) and Madame Larina (Eugene Onegin). She has also shared the roles of Mimi (La Boheme) and Cio Cio San (Madama Butterfly) with Amanda Roocroft, and Hanna Glawari (The Merry Widow) with Lesley Garrett.
Born and educated in Cornwall, and studied with William McAlpine at GSMD. For English National Opera she has performed Fiordiligi (Cosi fan tutte) for Welsh National Opera - Violetta (La Traviata), Nedda (Pagliacci), Giorgetta (Il Tabarro), Liu (Turandot), Mimi (La Boheme), Pamina and First Lady (Magic Flute), Micaela and Frasquita (Carmen), and Flower Maiden (Parsifal) ;  for English Touring Opera - Mimi and Musetta (La Boheme) and Alice Ford (Falstaff) ; for Mid-Wales Opera, the title role in Tosca ; for Opera Holland Park - Magda (The Consul), directed by Simon Callow ; for English Bach Festival - La Musica (Orfeo) at The Royal Opera House and Ismene (Mitridate) in Monte Carlo ;
for Neath Opera at Craig-y-Nos - Countess (Marriage of Figaro), Marenka (The Bartered Bride), Olympia/Giulietta/Antonia (The Tales of Hoffmann) ; for London City Opera - Rosalinda (Die Fledermaus) at the QEH London and USA tour ; for New Sussex Opera -Comtesse Adele (Conte Ory) ; for European Chamber Opera - Donna Anna (Don Giovanni) and Norina (Don Pasquale) at Holland Park; for Castleward Opera - Magda (La Rondine) ; for the Canterbury Festival - Ellen Orford (Peter Grimes) ; for the Barbados Opera Festival - Fiordiligi (Cosi fan tutte) and Kate Pinkerton (Madame Butterfly) ; and the world premiere of The Blackened Man by Will Todd at the Linbury Studio, ROH, and the Buxton Festival.
In May 2004 Naomi’s portrayal of Violetta in WNO’s production of La Traviata received a wonderful review from Rupert Christiansen in the Daily Telegraph.
Other recent engagements include the Verdi Requiem, Tippett’s Child Of Our Time and Britten’s Spring Symhony at the Barbican Hall; the 8th Symphony by Mahler at the RFH; The Kingdom by Elgar,  Brahms’ Requiem and The Burning Road by Will Todd; Four Last Songs by Strauss; Songs of  the Auvergne by Canteloube and the Fourth Symphony by Mahler; Carmina Burana by Carl Orff , and the Poulenc Gloria.
Naomi appears regularly on Friday Night is Music Night for BBC Radio 2, and her recordings include ; Simply Opera with the RPO, Country House Opera with the London Musici ; Love Unspoken with the Brandenburg Chamber Orchestra, and the voice of Sara Crowe in the British film Caught in the Act, which was televised on BBC 2.
Future engagements include Mimi (La Boheme) for WNO,  A Child Of Our Time at The Sage, Gateshead, the Brahms Requiem at Peterborough Cathedral, and The Four Last Songs at the Landmark Theatre, Ilfracombe.
